We welcome you to the Hidden Valley Christian Union Church website.

About Us

Hidden Valley Church of Christian Union was established in 1966 on the northeast corner of Hidden Valley Road and Missouri 291 State Highway. Situated on top of a hill, the church view is excellent for travelers heading north. Rev. Wilbur Holman began the groundbreaking of the church applying his vision that this was a great place to build a church. Many faithful Christians at that time contributed to the building of the church during its etablishment. Christian Union is a concept which, when practiced by those having received Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, allows the Holy Spirit to develop Christian maturity in them. We hope that visiting this website brings some light into your day. It's our way of introducing ourselves. Our church family is made up of people who share something in common that is very important. A desire to know and love God more as we grow our faith in Christ. Let us know if we can be of more assistance to you. Would you like to

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

      Matthew 5:14-16

      "A Light For God's House"

[i] In a mountain village in Europe a long time ago, a nobleman wondered what gift he could present to his townspeople. At last he decided to build them a church. No one saw the complete plans for the church until it was finished. When the people gathered, they marvelled at it's beauty. Then someone asked,"But where are the lamps? How will it be lighted?" The nobleman pointed to some brackets in the walls. Then he gave each family a lamp, asking them to bring these with them each time they came to worship.

"Each time you are in church, the area where you are seated will be lighted," the nobleman said. "Each time you are not here, that area will be dark. This is to remind you that whenever you fail to come to church, some part of God's house will be dark."
