   "Dual Citizenship".............................................................................................Philippians 3:20; Romans 13:1-18
When we put our faith in Christ we have dual citizenship in heaven and on earth. Are we proud enough to bring up our dual citizenship in heaven to others we talk to?
Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Peter 1:3. Because of our faith in the resurrection we have citizenship in heaven. There is no long test like there is for becoming a citizen of a different country. It is by faith and repentance that we have dual citizenship.
1. Represent our king while on earth. Paul's life changed as a Christian (2 Corinthians 5:17-20). You are a new person in Jesus Christ. We are ambassadors for Christ. Reach out to others that are not in dual citizenship. Live on earth in a manner to glorify our king. Our behavior should make others want to glorify Christ. We are still here because we have things left to do. Our behaviour should show that we are Christians; Model citizens on earth. Let every soul be subject to a higher power. Leaders are ordained by God whether we like them or not. Give thanks and pray for them. Prayers can contribute to a peaceful life.
When leaders seem to oppose the work of God (Acts 4:15), what do you do about the clash? Tell people about Jesus, obey God rather than men. Do not let Jesus Christ's name be stopped from public use. Our citizenship in heaven has to come first every time. Are you committed to obeying God and his commands no matter what the cost on earth?
