The sermon I would have preached on Sunday if I knew I was going to die on Monday. Psalm 90:12 Number our days
so we can apply widsom to our life.
1. To those that we love:
We all preach to somebody. Assure them of our faith in Christ. Ask your family if they have put their faith in Christ. (Testimony).
Describe the times God God spoke to your heart about His love.
Tell about the exact moment you gave your life to Jesus.
a) Tell about how exciting it was.
John 6:37 - Go to Jesus, he will not cast you out He is truth.
1 John 5:11-13 - Provides assurance that we are going to Heaven. You can say, "I know that I am.". Fear of
not knowing can keep our testimony from happening. What do you base your belief on? The Bible has answers.
2. Show (in your testimony) where you will live: Heaven.
John 13:1 - Time was coming for Jesus to leave this world. He showed the full extent of his love.
Philippians 1:21-23 - To go on living Paul wanted fruitful labor in his life. Otherwise he would rather be with Christ in Heaven.
2 Timothy 4:6 - Paul's life was poured out as an offering to God. He felt the time of his death was near.
2 Corinthians 5:8 - We should be fully confident that we would rather be away from our earthly bodies and be home with the Lord.
Revelation 5, 14, 21 - Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive power, riches, wisdom and strength, honor, glory and blessing. Follow Him wherever he goes.
carry the eternal good news. Revelation 21; The new heaven, new earth, new Jerusalem. The glory of God illuminates the city.
3. Appeal to the lost. Sharing the Gospel.
Luke 19:10 Jesus came to seek and save the lost.
We all commit sin and need Jesus and His love. (forgiveness).
The cross was full payment for our sin.
2 Corinthians 6:2 - Today is the day of salvation. The right time is now.
